With the National Youth Music Theatre in 1987 Jude Law started acting. In the Edinburgh Fringe Jude Law played different roles awarded The Ragged Child, as Foxtrot Darling one of first Jude Law performance stage in Philip Ridley’s Multi award Jude Law won The Fastest Clock in The Universe. Jude Law appeared as Michaelin the West End production of Jean Cocteau’s tragicomedy Les Parents terrible and the director was Sean Mathias. For Outstanding Newcomer, Jude Law received the Ian Charleson Award, and for Outstanding Newcomer Jude Law was nominated for an Laurence Oliver Award.

In 1995 a title following change to Indiscretion, the play was transferred and reworked to Broadway, where Jude Law acted opposite Roger Rees, Cynthia Nixon and Kathleen Turner. This role nominated Jude Law to the Theatre World Award and Tony Award.
