VIDEO! Watch video of Sean Avery’s “sloppy” comments about Dion Phaneuf that got Avery a NHL suspension. Sean Avery’s speech on Dion Phaneuf and Elisha Cuthbert brought suspension of Avery from the National Hockey League today.

As LALATE broke earlier today, the NHL has suspended Sean Avery, indefinitely, allegedly for Avery’s comments about Dion Phaneuf and actress Elisha Cuthbert to news reporters.

The NHL called unspecified comments to news as “conduct detrimental to the league or game of hockey.”

As reported earlier, press claim Avery allegedly made a comment about the Calgary Flames’ Dion Phaneuf and his former girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert, unprovoked, prior to a recent game between the two teams, approaching the camera, without provocation, and saying:

“I’m really happy to be back in Calgary; I love Canada. I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy s — ds. I don’t know what that’s about, but enjoy the game tonight.”

NHL has responded by saying Avery recent comments, not specifying which one,  were “inappropriate public comments, not pertaining to the game”. You can see in the below news video that Avery approaches news camera crews and asks, “You got a camera” … and when the response is “yes” he delivers his remarks. Ironically, in 2007 People called Avery one of its sexiest men alive.

Brittany Flickinger’s win was announced on MTV’s website moments ago with a retrospective look back at Brittany since Day 1.

Hilton is off shooting the next installment of the reality tv series. But Hilton has told press that she and the (then unnamed BFF) hang out all the time secretly, anxious to take their BFF friendship public after tonight’s airing win.

Georgia’s Senate runoff race has a result - Saxby Chambliss is the winner! Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss has won tonight.

92 percent of the precincts reporting show Chambliss winning 58% over Martin’s 42%.

Chambliss said tonight of his win: “I’m excited to be the first race that leads us into the 2010 campaign because it’ll be a tough fight”.

Martin was disappointed: “For me and my family and campaign team and all of you this is a sad moment.”

Sean Avery has been handed a suspension! The National Hockey League has suspended Sean Avery, indefinitely, allegedly for Avery’s comments about Dion Phaneuf and actress Elisha Cuthbert. Avery’s suspension is an obvious blow to the Dallas Stars’ for which Sean is a forward.

VIDEO! Watch video of the Georgia Senate Runoff Race today. Georgia Senate Runoff Race results shows steady voter turnout in the battle between Chambliss vs. Martin.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports:

“Voter turnout for today’s runoff elections is steady but light, election officials report. Cobb County checked voting levels at 30 key precincts and by 10 a.m., 5,555 people had gone to the polls. The county tracks voting at 30 of its 175 precincts.”

LALATE will be reporting to all night long the runoff results.
